I discovered this frame from a vendor specializing in french-only vintage bikes. This specific series of TdF bikes Gitane produced employed no braze-on cable guides, with 120mm rear hub spacing. Perfect fodder for a vintage conversion. The paint is absolutely original, with some touch ups and new decal treatments. Crank is a vintage Stronglight 106, wheelset is vintage Campy Record (laced to polished Sun M13 rims), stem and bars are vintage Atax (French), seat & post are Origin8. Photos shown are from my Mt. The bike handles superbly, to the point of my logging 1,500 miles of riding it since finishing the build last February.
